Hartenbos is a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is located some 45 kilometres outside George, South Africa. It belongs, together with 20 other settlements, to the Mossel Bay Local Municipality.
The Point is a happening, vibey beach and dramatic rocky point within central Mossel Bay. Here you can stroll for 3 kilometers along a walkway across the rocky coastline or venture on the 15 kilometer long St Blaize hiking trail to Dana Bay.
View a life-sized replica of the caravel that brought master mariner and explorer Bartolomeu Dias to the shores of Mossel Bay from Portugal. Diaz is reputed to be the first European explorer to set foot on South African soil in Mossel Bay on 3 February 1488.
